International Clinical Trials Day (ICTD) 2023

Decentralised Clinical Trials: challenges and opportunities
ICTD 2023 Decentralised Trials

ECRIN together with our Polish National Partner, PolCRIN (Agencja Badań Medycznych) organised International Clinical Trial Day 2023 as a hybrid event, held in the Bellotto Hotel in Warsaw and online via a livestream. This year, the discussions were focussed on Decentralised Clinical Trials: challenges and opportunities.

ICTD 2023 had an outstanding line-up of experts joining us to share their perspectives and experiences with decentralised clinical trials. After the opening of ICTD 2023 by ECRIN's Director General Jacques Demotes and the Polish representative Radoslaw Sierpinski, the day started with the multi-stakeholder pesperctive, followed by the key note held by Rachel Copland, on what was learned about decentralised clinical trials in Europe fro the Trials@Home project.

The afternoon session was about operational and technological approaches of decentralised clinical trials, and the use of decentralised elements in paediatric trials. ICTD 2023 closed with a panel discussion on stage, presented by the day's host Vivienne Perry.
