2018 KoNECT-MFDS International Conference

ECRIN participated in the “2018 KoNECT-MFDS International Conference” in Seoul, Korea, from October 31st to November 2nd.

The event, organised by the Korea National Enterprise for Clinical Trials (KoNECT) together with the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare, addressed the topic of “Embracing change and beyond in clinical development”.

The conference aimed to serve as a venue for foreign and domestic experts who specialise in clinical trials and drug development to discuss the increasing complexity, difficulty and diversification of today’s clinical trials.

ECRIN’s Director General, Jacques Demotes, gave a talk on “Rare diseases and paediatric clinical research networks in Europe”. He highlighted various initiatives in Europe to improve support to clinical research on rare diseases and paediatrics, including the Paediatric Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (PedCRIN) project.
