Integrating clinical research in Europe

Access to ECRIN Services

Access to ECRIN services requires the approval of the clinical research project by the ECRIN Scientific Board. This is achieved in a two step evaluation:

  • The eligibility assessment: the investigator or sponsor submits a synopsis (typically 2-5 pages) of the clinical research project to the secretariat of the ECRIN Scientific Board. Based on eligibility criteria, the Scientific Board decides (within 30 days) whether the project is eligible for ECRIN support. This allows the investigator to prepare the full protocol, to look for a sponsor and for funding.
  • The acceptance requires submission to the Scientific Board of the full protocol by the investigator, once the funding is obtained and the sponsor identified. The Scientific Board gives its opinion within 60 days, based on acceptance criteria.
